The SJCC Parenting Centers are nationally recognized for family outreach, parent education and support, and social activities for infants to five year olds.
The Parenting Centers, on Mercer Island and in Seattle, offer activities in a warm and nurturing environment for people of all ages: infants, toddlers, preschoolers, parents, and grandparents. Our educational classes and lectures, support groups, and baby playtime bring our Parenting Centers alive with activity and learning.
Our programs, classes, and support services are designed to strengthen emotional bonds between parents and children and promote optimal child development.
The SJCC believes in families and values parents as vital to child development. During the challenging and fun early childhood years, the SJCC Parenting Centers inspire a shared early learning experience to support the growth and development of our community’s children.

At Birth and Beyond we have been supporting new families for over 16 years. Our staff is composed of a mix of real moms, Lactation Consultants, Nurses, Doulas and other professionals working in the field. In our store you can shop for the products you need, rent a breastpump, get fit for a nursing bra, take a class/workshop or join a support group, and even make appointments with lactation consultants and new parent consultants.
